Embed EveryMac.com Specs in Classified Ads & Auctions [Beta]
EveryMac.com's "Embed Specs" functionality is designed to make it quick and simple for an individual to embed an EveryMac.com specs table for a specific Mac in his or her online classified ad or auction listing. Instructions on how to use Embed Specs, as well as the Terms of Use are below.
If you are not sure which Mac you have, look it up by Order Number, Model Number, EMC Number, Model Identifier or Serial Number "Snippet," with EveryMac.com's Ultimate Mac Lookup feature. If you need help, refer to Mac Identification.
EveryMac.com Embed Specs Instructions
EveryMac.com's Embed Specs functionality is quite easy to use.
1. From the specs page of any G3 or later Mac, click the "Embed" link beside "Bookmark & Share." As shown in this example screenshot from the Mac mini G4/1.25 specs page, additional information will "drop down" from the link:
2. Select the classified ad site or auction site of interest from the pull-down menu, and copy the code in the text box below. Paste this code into your classified ad or auction on the site you selected and you're good to go.
EveryMac.com's Embed Specs function currently supports Craigslist, Backpage, and eBay, but more sites will be added. If there is a particular classified ad site or auction site that you would like to see supported, please make suggestions. Thank you.

- EveryMac.com's Embed Specs functionality solely is for an individual selling a single Mac on Craigslist, Backpage, or eBay. An individual only may embed the specs for a single Mac in a single advertisement on a single page. To prevent potential confusion, no individual may embed the specs for more than one Mac on a single page. EveryMac.com generously defines an "individual" as someone selling fewer than ten Macs, iPods, iPhones and/or iPads in a month. EveryMac.com retains all rights to the embedded info.
- No one selling a Mac, iPod, iPhone or iPad may use EveryMac.com's Embed Specs functionality to intentionally deceive or mislead a buyer. Independent confirmation of specifications from a seller is the responsibility of the buyer.
- Those using EveryMac.com's Embed Specs functionality must use the code as generated by EveryMac.com and may not alter or change it in any way whatsoever. The Embed Specs functionality only may be used on Craigslist, Backpage, or eBay and may not be used on any other websites unless licensed to do so. EveryMac.com's Embed Specs functionality may not be used or duplicated by software applications.
