Who designed the White Intel iMac models?

Apple's industrial design for the last several years has been performed entirely in-house by Apple's Industrial Design Group, led by Jonathan Ive.

If you are interested in industrial design, you might like to purchase the long ago out of print AppleDesign: The Work of the Apple Industrial Design Group. This book has hundreds of full color photographs of vintage prototype Apple products that were never released and is an interesting look into the evolution of Apple's style.

Where can I buy a White Intel iMac model?

What were the default configurations?

Were custom configurations available?

Yes. You could choose to customize the amount of RAM, hard drive size, keyboard type and decide whether or not to add an external Apple USB Modem for US$49. Some models could be configured with faster processors and enhanced graphics as well.
