October 8, 2009

This month, EveryMac.com features a comprehensive update to the iPod Q&A -- with more than 100 iPod questions answered -- covering all models from the original iPod up to the latest video camera-equipped iPod nano 5G, faster iPod touch 3G/Late 2009, higher capacity iPod classic, and more colorful iPod shuffle 3G.

The iPod Q&A answers questions ranging from "How can I save videos from YouTube and play them on my iPod?" to "How 'good' is the iPod nano 5G video camera? How does it compare to the Flip Mino or Ultra video camera in 'real-world' use?" and everything in between.

Haven't upgraded to MacOS X 10.6 "Snow Leopard" yet? Before you do, read the MacOS X 10.6 "Snow Leopard" Q&A, which covers 64-bit, OpenCL, and Grand Central Dispatch details, upgrade options, performance, compatibility, and more.

To be notified automatically of new Q&As, please use RSS or Twitter. In case you missed one, Q&As since the last major update include:

  • How "good" is the iPod nano 5G video camera? How does it compare to the Flip Mino or Ultra video camera in "real-world" use?
  • How much faster is the iPod touch 3G (Late 2009) than the iPod touch 2G in "real-world" use?
  • What are the differences between the iPod touch 3G (Late 2009) and the iPhone 3GS?
  • Which iPods can sync and charge via USB? Which iPods can sync and charge via Firewire?
  • How many songs does each iPod, iPod mini, iPod nano, iPod touch, and iPod shuffle hold?
  • How can I use my iPod as a voice recorder?
  • How can I save videos from YouTube and play them on my iPod?
  • How many movies can the video capable iPod models hold?
  • Can you get radio on the iPod? If not, why is there a "Radio" option?
  • Why will my older iPod charge on my iPod-compatible stereo system but my new iPod not charge? Is there a way around this problem?
