12 April 2015

This update of EveryMac.com features additional details on the now shipping Retina MacBook and a comprehensive revision to the MacBook Air Q&A and Retina MacBook Pro Q&A to cover the latest models. EveryMac.com's Ultimate Mac Lookup has been updated, too.

Additionally, EveryMac.com is live testing a new modern "responsive" home page for enhanced usability on mobile and tablet devices and plans to roll it out across the site in the coming weeks.

The MacBook Air Q&A answers "Is the battery in the 'Early 2015' MacBook Air models replaceable or is it glued to the case with adhesive?" and "What kind of video processor is provided by the 'Early 2015' MacBook Air? Does it support an external 4K display?" and everything in between about the latest MacBook Air models.

The Retina MacBook Pro Q&A answers "What are all the differences between the 'Early 2015' Retina MacBook Pro models and the models replaced?" and "How fast are the 'Early 2015' Retina MacBook Pro models compared to their predecessors? Which is the best value?" along with dozens of other questions.

Finally, the EveryMac webapp [subsequently discontinued] has been updated to cover the latest hardware, as well.

For those interested in saving money on a new MacBook, MacBook Air, or MacBook Pro, site sponsor PowerMax has the latest models free of sales tax and with free shipping (and likewise has some discontinued models at discounted prices, but only while supplies last).

If you bought, or buy, a new MacBook, MacBook Air, or MacBook Pro, please send in its serial number. Non-personal information will be added to EveryMac.com's Ultimate Mac Lookup to help with model identification and differentiation. Thank you.
