The FastMac G4/500 "Pismo" features a 550 MHz PowerPC 7410 (G4) processor (533 MHz processor overclocked to 550 MHz) with 1 MB of backside cache. The FastMac G4/550 "Pismo" is installed in the daughtercard slot in the "Pismo" or "FireWire" PowerBook G3 models (G3/400 "FW" and G3/500 "FW"), and replaces the original daughtercard. You are required to remove your original daughtercard and ship it to FastMac for them to perform the upgrade. The daughtercard will be upgraded and shipped back to you for installation.
