Mac-Compatible Upgrade Cards: Sonnet Technologies: Crescendo G3 500/1M Fortissimo Specs

Sonnet Crescendo G3

The Sonnet Crescendo G3 500/1M Fortissimo features a 500 MHz PowerPC 750 (G3) processor (depending on system) with 1 MB of backside cache. Sonnet's "Fortissimo" technology features a separate bus on the upgrade card that runs at twice the speed of the host motherboard, allowing the computer to use faster processors. All of Sonnet's cards detect what type of computer is being used and set the speed to the maximum safe setting. The card plugs into the PDS slot and pass-through cables are available for video cards if necessary.
