The XLR8 MACh Carrier G4 MPe 450 is an "upgradable upgrade" card, which can be described as a processor card with dual ZIF sockets. Essentially, the card plugs into the daughtercard slot and more modern ZIF processor modules are plugged into the Carrier card. The XLR8 MACh Carrier G4 450 ships with a pre-installed 450 MHz PowerPC 7400 (G4) ZIF module, and supports an additional ZIF module as well.
