Apple Watch Ultra 2, 49 mmPlease note that this Apple Watch Ultra 2 (Global, 49 mm) model is compatible with LTE bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 39, 40, 41, and 66 as well as UMTS 2100 MHz, 1900 MHz, 1700/2100 MHz, 850 MHz, and 900 MHz. It is not compatible with LTE bands 12 (700 MHz), 13 (700c MHz), 14 (700 PS), and 17 (700b MHz). It is sold globally (just about everywhere in the world except for the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and China).

Like the original Apple Watch Ultra before it, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is a larger, more durable watch intended for those interested in sports and outdoor activities. Also like the original, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is certified to "relevant aspects" of military durability standards (MIL-STD- 810H) and swimproof and recreational dive to 40m capable (EN13319), but the Apple Watch Ultra 2 has a new processor, a brighter display, support for a "magical new double tap gesture," expanded altitude range, support for more "water adventures" like freediving, and improved Siri capabilities.

All Apple Watch Ultra 2 models are capable of being connected to the Internet without a "tethered" iPhone, but it still is intended to be used with an iPhone XS or later running iOS 17 or later for some functions.

Each Apple Watch Ultra 2 device is controlled with a Digital Crown with haptic feedback and a touch capable display in addition to two buttons -- a silver one beneath the Digital Crown and an orange "Action" button on the opposite side of the housing. All Apple Watch Ultra models use a 49 mm housing and feature a 410x502 "Always-On Retina" LTPO OLED screen with "up to" 3000 nits of brightness and with sapphire crystal glass packed in a "natural" silver colored Titanium case as well as a ceramic and sapphire crystal back that connects to the charger, too.

Battery life is an Apple estimated "up to 36 hours" overall in modest use; the "Low Power Mode" option can extend battery life to up to 72 hours by disabling the Always-On Display and other functions.
