Apple HomePod miniIntroduced as a much cheaper version of the original HomePod, the HomePod mini is a tiny, spherical wireless "smart speaker" for use with recent iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices.

Originally available in white or a dark "Space Gray" color (with yellow, orange, and blue added on October 18, 2021), the HomePod mini uses "computational audio for real-time tuning" and provides a "full-range driver and dual passive radiators for deep bass and crisp high frequencies."

The HomePod mini is designed to work primarily with the Apple Music service and supports Siri for voice interaction, but it also has a round display on the top with touch-sensitive controls for volume, track control, and Siri activation. Internally, it is powered by an Apple S5 processor (SoC), and supports 802.11n Wi-Fi as well as "Thread" networking, Ultra Wideband for "device proximity" detection and Bluetooth 5.0.

HomePod mini works with an iPhone SE, iPhone 6s or later, or iPod touch (7th Gen) running iOS 14 or later; or iPad Pro, iPad (5th Gen), iPad Air 2 or later, or iPad mini 4 or later running iPadOS 14 or later (compatibility formally increased to iOS 15 or iPadOS 15 on October 18, 2021). It does not work directly with a Windows PC or Mac (although sound can be sent from the Mac to HomePod using AirPlay).
