The short-lived Apple Macintosh Centris 660AV features a 25 MHz 68040 processor, a 55 MHz AT&T 3210 DSP processor to accelerate multimedia functions, 8 MB of RAM, and a 230 MB or 500 MB hard drive in a low-profile desktop case. An internal 2X CD-ROM drive also was provided by some configurations.
In addition to the multimedia-specific co-processor, this model also has S-video and composite video in/out (RCA) ports for video production.
The Quadra version of the Macintosh Centris 660AV is the Quadra 660AV.

||*The Macintosh Centris 660AV has a 32-bit processor and a 32-bit data path. Sometimes this model is designated as having a 50 MHz processor, since the clock input runs at 50 MHz. However, the processor itself is not "clock doubled," so technically it only is a 25 MHz processor. It also has a 55 MHz AT&T 3210 DSP processor to accelerate multimedia functions.

||The onboard VRAM cannot be upgraded.
||*By default, the Macintosh Centris 660AV only supports a single display, but a second one can be supported with the addition of a compatible PDS or NuBus video card. The standard video can support 512x384 and 640x400 at 24-bit color, 640x480, 800x600, and 832x624 at 16-bit color and 1024x768 and 1152x870 at 8-bit color.
