The Apple Macintosh PowerBook 1400cs/166 features a 166 MHz PowerPC 603e processor, 16 MB of RAM, a 1.3 GB hard drive and an 12X CD-ROM drive in a black portable case with a 11.3" color dual-scan display.
The PowerBook 1400cs/166 built-in display supports 16-bit color and the computer also can support up-to 8-bit color on an external monitor with an optional video card.
The PowerBook 1400cs/166 is similar to the PowerBook 1400c/166, but the c has a higher quality active-matrix display.
The PowerBook 1400 series was the first PowerBook line to introduce an internal CD-ROM drive, "stackable" memory modules, and "BookCovers" to customize the look of each PowerBook.
