All PowerBook Models | All 1995 Models | Dynamically Compare This Mac to Others

Apple PowerBook 190/66The Apple Macintosh PowerBook 190/66 features a 33 MHz 68LC040 processor, 4 MB or 8 MB of RAM, and a 500 MB hard drive in a black portable case with a 9.5" grayscale passive-matrix display.

Perhaps most notably, the PowerBook 190 models have a expansion bay module -- used by a 1.44 floppy disk drive by default -- that can be "swapped" with compatible third-party removable storage drives and hard drives. It can be configured with support for an external monitor via an optional video card as well as IrDA.

The PowerBook 190 series is closely related to the PowerBook 5300 series and can be upgraded to use a PowerPC processor, too.
