Apple Power Mac 5500/225The Apple Power Macintosh 5500/225, based on the Gazelle architecture, features a 225 MHz PowerPC 603e processor, 32 MB of RAM, a 2.0 GB hard drive, a 12X or 24X CD-ROM drive, 2D/3D graphics acceleration, and pre-installed video input/output expansion cards in an attractive all-in-one case with a 15" multiscan color monitor.

Originally, this model was sold exclusively to the North American education market, but Apple subsequently noticed interest among consumers and released it to the consumer market, too.
