Mac Systems: By Case Type: Vintage Notebook (Pre-G3)

Apple's first attempt at a truly portable computer, simply named the Macintosh Portable, was not a rousing success, but it paved the way for the PowerBook 100 which effectively established the notebook computer market. Mac clone notebooks were manufactured by Assistive Technology, Dynamac, Outbound, and Vertegri.

Complete technical specifications for every vintage -- pre-G3 -- Apple system and Mac clone using notebook cases are listed below for your convenience. For newer systems, please refer to the main By Case Type page.
