What are the differences between the "1 GHz/867 MHz" PowerBook G4 models?
Please note that the "1 GHz/867 MHz" PowerBook G4 series was introduced on November 6, 2002 and discontinued September 16, 2003.
The differences between the PowerBook G4/867 (Ti) and PowerBook G4/1.0 (Ti) are quite minor. Both use the Titanium case, 15.2" widescreen (1280x854) display, and effectively the same motherboard as the PowerBook G4 "DVI" series that these models replaced. However, the "1 GHz/867 MHz" models have faster processors and improved graphics capabilities.
The PowerBook G4/1.0 (Ti) also is notable for being the first notebook to ship standard with a "SuperDrive" capable of writing DVD media.
